Air3 Radio was established in 1972. at the Univerity of Stirling as Scotland’s first student radio station. We started our branding off as “Radio Airthrey” (our studio being at Airthrey Castle on campus), then as “Air3 1350” whilst we we on the FM wave and most recently Air3 Radio. We currently broadcast online with a wide range of shows covering all genres from music, entertainment, sport and news all marketed for students and beyond.

Our shows host interviews and live sessions often, and for many years we’ve been putting on live music events to reflect the talents of our members and the student body. We pride ourseleves on being a strong creative outlet for students at the university with an interest in working in media in the future.

Air3 are members of the Student Radio Association and at The Amplify Awards in 2024, we recieved the gold Amplify Award, recognising our team efforts in building up the station and empowering our members after a period of difficulty and radio silence.
